Also known as a dibber or dibbler, this item has been in use since Roman times. Our model is a versatile garden tool for planting small seeds, seedlings and bulbs up to 1 ½” diameter. Easy to ream holes wider for larger bulbs such as daffodils and larger seedling transplants.
Designed by an avid gardener, this dibble is easy to manipulate by all gardeners and with less fatigue than other designs. The T-shaped grip of our model fits in the palm to make it easier to apply torque, to exert even pressure, and to create consistent hole depth.
To use, gently work the dibble into loosened soil to the desired planting depth, remove, place bulb or seed or seedlings into hole, then cover with soil.
This beautiful hardwood dibble is handmade from repurposed, clean Canadian maple that is carefully turned on our vintage wood lathe, then finished with natural tung oil and glued with waterproof, food-safe glue.
