Oil pastel on Arches 300 lb. rough paper.  Forest in the Foothills of Alberta.  Response to a long walk, where the dense trees caught and held onto our clothes.  The trees changed colour depending on the density of the plants. In some areas, the sun just touched, bringing strong colour back to our eyes.
